There’s a new horse in Orville Peck’s stable. After releasing the 2020 EP Show Pony and the 2022 album Bronco, he’s back with Mule, which arrives on September 18 via Warner. He teased the album with the Emmylou Harris, Noah Cyrus, and Allison Russell-featuring “Prologue (Eulogy of a Man Turned Mule)” earlier this month, and now he’s returned with another preview of the record: “Too Little, Too Late.”
Peck recently told Rolling Stone that Mule is about one of the worst years of his life. “I was a bad addict, a coping alcoholic,” he said. “And I had this spiral moment, where I went back to my hotel and tried to take my life. It was a big turning point for me, with a lot of realizations to come. It was something that needed to happen.”
To support the album, Peck is also embarking on a North American tour this fall. The run features support from Abbie Callahan on most dates. Browse a full itinerary below.
