Meghan Markle has dropped a hint that her lifestyle brand, As Ever, may soon be shipping to the UK. On Saturday, Meghan posted a new image on her brand’s Instagram account, @aseverofficial, featuring the silhouette of a woman holding a wine glass.
Accompanying the photo, Meghan penned, “Oh, we see you too! Australia, UK, Canada – love to see how you’re finding a way to get your As ever products. You have good taste…and good friends [champagne-cheers emoji].”
The 44-year-old’s post suggests she’s been noticing fans from Australia, the UK, and Canada with As Ever packages, despite the brand currently only shipping within the US.
This hint at potential UK shipping comes in the wake of recent poll results indicating a decline in the former working royal’s popularity.
A recent YouGov poll revealed that only 20 percent of participants held a favorable view of Meghan, compared to 67 percent who did not, reports the Express.
In a recent conversation with the Express, brand and culture expert Nick Ede disclosed the probable explanation for why As Ever has yet to reach UK shores.
He explained, “I don’t think the UK is a focus for the As Ever brand as it’s driven by popularity and at the moment Meghan doesn’t have the star power in the UK that she once had.
“The idea of buying flower sprinkles is a bit alien to UK consumers. There is such a huge choice of rose wines in the UK from Kylie Minogue to Lady A that another brand just won’t drive the volume or demand that they will need to make it a success.”
Meghan formally unveiled her brand in March, with the initial product release completely sold out in just one hour.
