Meghan Markle has opened up about her relationship with Prince Harry as she made some rare comments on their marriage.
Speaking in a new interview, Meghan, 44, spoke candidly about her bond with Harry, 41, and how he has transformed her life. She said, “He loves me so boldly, fully, and he also has a different perspective because he sees media that I wouldn’t.”
The Duchess of Sussex continued to Harpers Bazaar, “No one in the world loves me more than him, so I know he’s always going to make sure that he has my back.” Meghan then explained further how when it comes to Harry “you have someone who just has this childlike wonder and playfulness.”
She added, “I was so drawn to that, and he brought that out in me. That’s translated into every part of our life. Even in business, I want us to play and have fun and explore and be creative.”
The candid admission comes after Meghan unveiled the first glimpse of her Christmas special of her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, which will premiere on December 3. The teaser for With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, shared on her Instagram page, captures an intimate moment between Meghan and Harry as they share a kiss in the kitchen.
Harry is spotted sampling food before the pair embrace. The footage shows the Duchess engaged in crafting, decorating and even selecting Christmas trees — trading her glamorous red carpet attire for more relaxed, everyday clothing.
Meghan also speaks warmly about “embracing traditions and making new ones,” suggesting preparations she’s undertaking with her young children Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4. Contemplating the season’s significance, she notes, “It’s about finding time to connect with the people we love.”
While preparing dishes, the former actress also remarks, “Being a hostess or a host, it’s about making people feel comfortable.”
Restaurateur Will Guidara then interjects and states “You can do things that make people feel a little bit…” before they both conclude “more seen.”
Harry had a minimal presence in the first series of Meghan’s lifestyle show and was absent from the second, but his romantic appearance in December’s Christmas special suggests we might see more of him this time.
The glamorous new video was released on the same evening that Kate Middleton and Prince William stepped out for their first red carpet appearance in two years to the Royal Variety Show at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Princess Kate has been on reduced royal duties after she was diagnosed with cancer in 2024. Since then she has completed preventative chemotherapy treatment and gradually returned to her roles in the public eye over the last year.
