Meghan Markle‘s “very sexy” role as Rachel Zane sparked concern from the Royal Family, it has been reported. The 44-year-old starred in the US legal drama between 2011 and 2017, ending her role shortly before officially joining the Royal Family during the spring of 2018.
After tying the knot with Prince Harry, the former actress then became a mother to six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet. Rachel was Meghan’s most prominent role as an actress. Meghan’s co-star Eric Roberts’ wife, Eliza Roberts, previously told the Daily Mail: “It is tricky because of the monarchy. Her role in ‘Suits’ was very sexy”.
Referring to Meghan’s onscreen romance with Patrick J. Adams, who played Michael Ross, she added: “Her making love with another man, that was just – they’ve never seen anything like that.”
She also added: “She worked so hard to get there. That was just too much. Women don’t give up their jobs for a marriage anymore.”
Although she understands Meghan’s “intention” for stepping away from acting, she said that the As Ever founder “is a young woman who needs to be acting”.
Praising Meghan, she added: “Meghan is a star. From the second you see her, she just has star quality. It doesn’t matter. It was always going to happen.”
Page Six reported that Meghan had made her shocking return to acting last year.
She had joined the cast of ‘Close Personal Friends,’ which stars Jack Quaid, Lily Collins and Brie Larson.
Meghan will reportedly play herself in the film, which follows two couples where one is famous and the other is not.
