Melania Trump took inspiration from the late Queen Elizabeth II’s wardrobe to create the ensemble she wore for her trip to the UK.
The First Lady of the United States, 55, and her husband, President Donald Trump, are on their way across seas to meet with the British Royal Family for a state visit.
As the couple boarded Air Force One, Melania was seen wearing a beige Burberry trench coat. The designer is infamously known as being one of the late Queen’s favorite fashion houses.
The Prince and Princess of Wales will initially greet the president and his wife after they spend a restful night in Windsor Castle.
After that, Trump will be formally welcomed by King Charles and Queen Camilla. At that time, a royal salute will be fired from the east lawn of Windsor Castle and the Tower of London.
The king and queen will then join the president and his wife for a carriage procession through the grounds of the Windsor Estate.
Afterwards, the Trumps and the royals will inspect a Guard of Honour and proceed to have lunch all together in the State Dining Room.
During the president’s visit, he will pay his respects to Queen Elizabeth II by visiting her tomb in Windsor.
The president’s last state visit to the UK was six year ago during the queen’s reign and his first term.
On the final day of their visit, Kate will once again join in on their itinerary as she will meet with Melania in the Frogmore Gardens while her husband meets with Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his wife, Victoria.
Melania will meet with members of the princess’ Scout Association, which she has acted as the president for since 2020.
