Michael B. Jordan drops major ‘Fourth Wing’ TV series update after ‘Sinners’ success
Michael B. Jordan has teased fans with an exciting new project following the record-breaking success of Sinners.
Speaking with Deadline on Thursday, January 22, the 38-year-old actor revealed that he will serve as an executive producer on the upcoming TV adaptation of Rebecca Yarros’ novel Fourth Wing for Amazon Prime, through his production company, Outlier Society Productions
“We are making sure that this is going to be an exciting show that delivers on all of the things the fans want — and some things they won’t be expecting,” Jordan said.
“But trust me, I know how beloved this franchise IP is, and we’re diligently working on it. We’re in the lab, we’re cooking it up,” he added. “It’s coming. It’s still in the early stages, but we feel how much people care about this one. That’s not lost on us.”
While the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star’s involvement in Fourth Wing as an executive producer is confirmed, it remains unclear whether he will also take on an acting role.
The exciting update comes shortly after Jordan earned a 2026 Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his acclaimed performance in Sinners, in which he portrayed dual lead roles as twin brothers Smoke and Stack Moore.
The film itself made history with 16 Academy Award nominations, marking the most nominations ever received by a single film.
The 98th Academy Awards are scheduled to take place on March 16, 2026.
