The loss of Diane Keaton is being felt throughout the Hollywood community. Keaton died on Saturday at age 79.
Since the news of her death broke, those who worked with her, as well as other celebrities who were inspired by her career, have been paying tribute to the Hollywood legend. Michael Douglas‘ tribute to Keaton caught the attention of one of his most cherished friends.
Taking to Instagram, Douglas shared a photo of him and Keaton from And So It Goes. It was their one and only movie together.
“RIP to my friend Diane Keaton. A heartbreaking loss of one of the greatest icons in our industry. I have so many fond memories of working with Diane on our film And So It Goes nearly twelve years ago. Sending my deepest condolences to the Keaton family during this difficult time,” read his caption.
And So It Goes featured Douglas as grumpy real estate agent Oren, who no one likes. When Oren is suddenly forced to take care of a granddaughter he didn’t know existed, he pushes her on his neighbor Leah, played by Keaton.
The little girl helps heal both Oren and Leah’s shattered hearts. And So It Goes is a heartwarming flick filled with love and laughter.

The comments section of Douglas’ social media share was filled with so much love for him and the late actress. Sharon Stone popped in to send him her condolences and love at this time.
“And to you my friend and mentor,” she wrote to her long-time friend and Basic Instinct co-star.
More comments on the Instagram post included, “Sorry for Your Loss 💙💔. Diane was a lovely Actress!” Others chimed in, writing, “I am sorry your dear friend has passed away. She was such a genuine, and gracious lady,” and “Two of my all time favorites. This one hurts 🙏🏾😢.”
Keaton is survived by her two children, son Duke, and daughter Dexter. The actress’ legacy will live on with her movies and memories being shared by those who knew her.
