Miley Cyrus is adding another milestone to a career that has already stretched from Disney Channel superstardom to Grammy-winning pop success. The singer and actress is officially set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on May 22, with the ceremony taking place on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
According to Billboard, the event will feature speeches from actress Anya Taylor-Joy and fashion designer Donatella Versace, while radio personality Ellen K will serve as emcee. Cyrus’ star will become the 2,845th addition to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and will be placed at 7011 Hollywood Blvd. The ceremony is also scheduled to stream live online.
The announcement lands during a major, nostalgia-driven moment for Cyrus, who recently returned to her Disney roots with the Hannah Montana 20th-anniversary celebration. That project included the Disney+ special marking 20 years since the series premiered in 2006, as well as Cyrus performing as Hannah Montana for the first time in roughly 15 years.
Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said Cyrus earned the recognition through both longevity and cultural impact. “Miley deserves her flowers as she has made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry,” Martinez said in a statement. “Generations of young girls have grown up watching her evolve, finding inspiration in her journey and fearless creativity.”
While Hannah Montana launched Miley Cyrus into global fame, her career quickly expanded beyond the Disney machine. She has topped the Billboard Hot 100 with hits including “Wrecking Ball” and “Flowers,” the latter earning Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. She later picked up another Grammy for collaborating with Beyoncé on “II MOST WANTED.”
Her commercial success has also extended to albums. Cyrus reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus, Breakout, Hannah Montana: The Movie, and Bangerz. Outside music, she earned a Golden Globe nomination for co-writing “I Thought I Lost You” from Bolt and drew attention for her performance as Ashley O in Black Mirror.
Cyrus has also remained active in fashion and philanthropy, fronting campaigns for major luxury brands while supporting LGBTQ+ youth through the Happy Hippie Foundation.
