Those who missed out on tickets to Alan Jackson‘s final concert in Nashville will still get a chance to see the country music legend’s farewell performance.
NBC announced it will air “Alan Jackson: The Last Show,” a prime-time television special that will be filmed during his final concert at Nissan Stadium on June 27.
The concert, part of Jackson’s farewell tour, sold out Nissan Stadium and is expected to draw tens of thousands of fans for what is being billed as the last performance of the Country Music Hall of Famer’s career.
NBC said the special will air later this year but has not announced an air date. The show also will stream on Peacock the following day.
According to the network, the broadcast will feature highlights from the sold-out Nashville concert and celebrate Jackson’s more than three decades of hits, including songs that helped define modern country music.
Jackson, 67, is one of the best-selling country artists of all time, with classics including “Chattahoochee,” “Remember When,” “Drive (For Daddy Gene)” and “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning).”
The television event is being directed by Sam Wrench, who directed the record-breaking concert film of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
