Andrew, 66, has always denied any wrongdoing and accusations. He has not been charged with any offences.
Since this latest police update, Andrew has been put back in the spotlight, which means his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie is also more likely to catch public attention.
This means that the sisters are reportedly no longer set to attend their cousin Peter Phillips’ wedding to Harriet Sperling next month.
The reason for this, according to Tom Sykes for The Royalist, is that they are reportedly mortified “all over again” by the latest developments around their father and do not want to overshadow Peter and Harriet’s special day.
A source told Tom Sykes that the sisters would “never want to overshadow the bride and groom’s happy day” on June 6, which they are reportedly worried could happen if they attend.
Beatrice and Eugenie have not commented on the matter themselves, but will no doubt feel sad to miss their cousin’s special day, especially as most members of the Royal Family are set to attend.
The sisters have been seen out and about around London over the last few weeks, attending events with friends; they have kept a low profile when it comes to anything to do with the Royal Family.
Sharing a photograph of her two sons holding a photograph of her baby scan, Eugenie wrote: “Baby Brooksbank due 2026!”
