NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Noah Wyle will be the 2026 Orpheus Monarch when the parade rolls on Lundi Gras, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m.
The multi-Emmy winning actor and producer is best known for his various contributions to HBO Max’s hit medical drama, “The Pitt.” In only the show’s second season, Wyle won two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Drama Series.

Prior to “The Pitt,” Wyle led the hit TV drama, “ER,” for 15 seasons playing ‘Dr. John Carter.’ He received three Golden Globe nominates and five Emmy Award nominations. Wyle has contributed to a slew of other projects as well.
In addition to Wyle being the monarch for the Krewe of Orpheus, the Krewe will also bring back five Monarch alums to join the Mardi Gras festivities. Jennifer Finnigan (2011), Jonathan Silverman (2011), Jimmi Simpson (2017), Will Forte (2017) and Joey Fatone (2023) will accompany Captain Sonny Borey on the Captain’s Galleon.

The parade will conclude at the New Orleans Convention Center for the Orpheuscapade and will have performances by Red Hot Revolution, Groover Merchants, the Mixed Nuts and Bonearama.
