Band concert
The Cupertino Symphonic Band is hosting its annual Spring Concert on Sunday, May 17, at 3 p.m. in the Sunnyvale Community Center ballroom, 550 E. Remington Drive, Sunnyvale.
The band will play a program of family-friendly music including Duke Ellington’s “Caravan,” Grieg’s “Peer Gynt Suite,” Moussorgsky’s “The Great Gate of Kiev” and Sheldon’s “Trip the Light Fantastic.”
Admission is free, and free snacks and coffee will be provided. Everyone is encouraged to bring donations of canned goods to benefit West Valley Community Services.

Polynesian dance
The Polynesian dance group RAHITI is set to perform at the Cupertino Library on Saturday, May 2, 11-11:30 a.m. The all-ages show will showcase the songs and drumbeats of Tahiti alongside the dances of Hawai’i, Samoa and the Maori people of New Zealand.
This program is part of the Santa Clara County Library District’s celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month.
Voter chat
The League of Women Voters of Cupertino-Sunnyvale is holding a coffee chat with membership director Nina Wong-Dobkin on May 2 for league members and non-members interested in the organization “and the collective impact we continue to make,” according to an email from the league.
The casual gathering is set for 10-11 a.m. at Peet’s Coffee, 144 W El Camino Real in Sunnyvale.
