The Rialto will present Kenny Endo at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at the Rialto Theater Center, 228 E. Fourth St.

Endo, the first Westerner to be granted a license to perform traditional Japanese taiko drumming, celebrates 50 years practicing his art. Enjoy a mix of traditional taiko drumming  and contemporary works where vibraphone, electric violin, ukulele and traditional Japanese instruments are played with a rock and jazz energy.

Used Book Sale

The Friends of the Loveland Public Library will hold their semi-annual used book sale Friday-Sunday, Oct. 24-26, in the McKee Building at The Ranch, 5260 Arena Circle.

The sale will have books in a variety of genres, along with DVDs, CDs and vinyl records.

The Friday sale takes place at 3-7 p.m. and is open to Friends members only. Memberships are available at the door starting at $15.

Saturday and Sunday the sale is open to the general public.

Hours Saturday are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and hours Sunday are 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

On Sunday, everything will be priced by the bag.

Parking and admission are free.

Housing Challenges

The Loveland Affordable Housing Task Force and the League of Women Voters of Larimer County will host a panel discussion titled “Housing Challenges in Loveland” at 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Event Center at Mirasol Gardens,1153 Finch St., Loveland.

Julie Stackhouse, League member will provide an overview of housing costs, shortages and trends.  Lisa Cunningham will then facilitate the panel discussion with Alison Hade of the city of Loveland, Jammie Sabin of Aspen Homes and Jeff Feneis of Loveland Housing Authority.

NoCo Home Show

The Northern Colorado Home Show will take place at noon-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 10 a.m-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, at 5280 Arena Circle.

Homeowners can see demos, meet with vendors and learn about home improvement projects.

Admission is free.

Rodeo Circuit Finals

The PRCA RAM Mountain States Circuit Finals will be presented 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, and 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the MAC Equipment, Inc. Indoor Arena at The Ranch, 5300 Arena Circle.

FORT COLLINS

Treatsylvania

Treatsylvania, a non-spooky Halloween event for ages 10 and under, will take place at 5-7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Oct. 24-25, and 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, at The Farm at Lee Martinez Park, 600 N. Sherwood.

Children ages 10 and under can enjoy a hayride, walk through a not-spooky farm and collect candy.

Tickets are only needed for participating children. Adults and other children may attend for free without a ticket.

Avery Halloween

Experience the history of Halloween in the candlelit rooms of The Avery House with hour-long Halloween-themed tours at 6, 6:30, 7, 7:30 and 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Oct. 24-25, at the historic house at 328 W. Mountain Ave.

Hear stories of the house — its history, hauntings, and secrets. Cider and fall treats will be served.

Admission is $20 per guest.

Environmental Arts

The Common Ground – Environmental Arts Festival will take place at 4-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at The Lyric Cinema Cafe, 1209 N. College Ave.

Hosted by Alpine Arts Collective and supported by the city of Fort Collins, Fort Fund, the festival will have an outdoor art market with environmentally inspired artwork by local and regional artists, live music, kids activities and more.

The first hour of the festival will be designated sensory-friendly for attendees who prefer a calmer, lower-stimulation experience.

At 6 p.m., there will be a performance with dance and spoken-word poetry. At 7 p.m. there will be an hour-long film screening featuring a curation of short environmental art films.

Admission is free. A $5 donation is requested.

Autumn Circus Fest

Fort Collins Circus Center, 2536 Midpoint Drive, will celebrate its seventh anniversary with an  Autumn Circus Festival at 12:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19.

Attendees can try out some aerial apparatuses with the coaches, explore and play in the balance room and see live circus performances from local performers and FC3 students.

There also will be local vendors.

Admission is free. Donations are welcome.

Legal Resource Day

The 8th Judicial District will offer educational seminars and Ask-An-Attorney sessions  from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at the Larimer County Justice Center, 201 LaPorte Ave.

People can sign up for free 30-minute in-person or virtual Ask-A-Lawyer sessions.

Yappy Hour

A special Howl-O-Ween Yappy Hour will take place at 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at Historic Halfway Homestead, 33327 County Road 15.
