TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Plans for a new entertainment district in downtown Tampa are in motion.
Water Street Tampa announced that it is planning to expand with a 3,500-capacity live music venue, a 250-key hotel, a parking garage, entertainment-driven retail and more.
“From concerts and comedy to everyday dining and nightlife, this new destination is designed to stay active year-round, creating a dynamic hub for residents, visitors, sports fans and music lovers,” Water Street Tampa said in a post on social media.

According to Water Street Tampa’s website, the entertainment district will be located between Channelside Drive and East Brorein Street.
Developers hope to break ground on the project next year.
