Former Migos rapper Offset is in stable condition after he was shot near a casino in Hollywood, Florida.
A representative for the artist, whose birth name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, said late Monday that he’s being closely monitored, according to NBC News.
TMZ first reported that the rapper was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
The spokesperson added that the rapper is “fine” and “is currently at the hospital receiving medical care.”
A rep for the Seminole Police told TMZ, “We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.”
“Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal,” the rep added.
The Seminole Police Department said an “incident” occurred in the valet area outside of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, even though the statement didn’t name the artist.
One person was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the department.
Authorities reported to the scene and contained the situation, detaining two people.
Offset is the ex-husband of rapper Cardi B. The former couple share three young children.
