GOSHEN — City Sun, Shark Sugar, Firetruck Save the Day, Jaylin Rain and The Lost Luggage will perform at Goshen’s 12th annual Arts on the Millrace. This year’s festival is set for 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept. 6.
Featuring local artists, musicians, and food vendors, Arts on the Millrace is a juried event along the Millrace Canal starting at Powerhouse Park. For more information, visit the website www.artsonthemillrace.org.
The concert schedule is: The Lost Luggage from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.; Jaylin Rain from 1-2:15 p.m.; Firetruck Save the Day from 2:30-3:45 p.m.; Shark Sugar from 4-5:15 p.m.; and City Sun from 5:30-7 p.m.
The Lost Luggage is a Goshen-based jazz combo featuring Kenneth Craig on vibes, Deron Bergstresser on drums, Kent Dutchersmith on bass, and Ben Good Elliot on sax. In 2023, the band released its first album, “Carrion Items,” featuring all-original tunes.
Jaylin Rain said she creates music “for anyone who’s ever felt too much and wants to find power in their pain.” Her sound is a mix of neo-soul, conscious rap and R&B.
With members based in Goshen and Indianapolis, Shark Sugar is a power pop collective that is always down for goofs and gaffes since 2017. The group consists of Caleb Scott on vocals, Kane White on guitar, Brian Jones on drums and Nick Tibbs on bass.
Firetruck Save the Day is billed as “High energy. Smooth tone. Good vibes.” City Sun is a Midwest-based indie-alternative band. Its members are Devin Vargo on vocals and lead guitar, Nick Wort on rhythm guitar, Kyle Carpenter on bass and backing vocals, Devin Brewer on keys/synthesizer, and A.J. Glick on drums and percussion.
