NBA Analyst Gets Dunked On For Dubious Taylor Swift Hot Take

New York Knicks radio analyst Monica McNutt got dunked on hard after she made a hot mic comment about Taylor Swift’s attendance at the NBA Finals.

Swift attended Game 4 on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden with Este and Alana Haim from the band Haim, wearing a “Stevie Knicks” T-shirt, and, of course, people noticed, including McNutt, who also works for ESPN.

At one point, McNutt asked her on-air partner, announcer Tyler Murray, if Swift was actually at the game.

He responded that he thought someone else was “saying her name to distract” him, but then whipped out his camera to take a photo of the singer for his wife.

McNutt apparently wasn’t impressed to see Swift and told Murray, “She’s not a Knicks fan. Get out of here, girl.”

celebrity.land reached out to the Knicks for comment, but no one immediately responded.

Meanwhile, social media users brought receipts showing that Swift has attended Knicks games since at least 2014.

TMZ tracked down McNutt on Thursday. She said she appreciated the “passion” of Swifties and admitted she may have been wrong about the singer’s fandom, because “she’s got an O.G. Amar’e Stoudemire jersey.”

McNutt admitted she “misspoke. I did not know” Swift loved the Knicks, but she has not seen the singer at a game in the past two years.

Also, she added this slight diss:

“We just saw her in Cleveland with her fiancé ― obviously, Travis supports the Cavs ― she didn’t have on any Knicks paraphernalia, so I did not know of her Knicks loyalty.”

No word on whether Swift will be traveling to San Antonio for Game 5, but it is rumored she may return to the Knicks’ home arena for her upcoming wedding to NFL player Travis Kelce.
