Less than a year since the film’s record-shattering theatrical release, NBCUniversal announced on Thursday that NBC has landed the broadcast premiere rights to “Wicked,” the global phenomenon starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, which earned $756 million at the worldwide box office and achieved the highest domestic gross of any film since its release on November 22, 2024.
“Wicked” premieres Wednesday, November 19 and will air from 8:00-11:30 p.m. Et/Pt on NBC, just two days before the release of its highly anticipated sequel, “Wicked: For Good.”
