Neha Dhupia had a sharp message for shutterbugs at a recent Mumbai event, publicly slamming a section of the paparazzi for clicking what she called disrespectful “back shots.” The actor made it clear that celebrities have had enough of raising this issue repeatedly, only to see it ignored.
What triggered Neha Dhupia’s outburst
The controversy stems from a viral clip that showed Neha Dhupia jogging on a track, footage she clearly wasn’t pleased about. Confronting photographers face-to-face at the event, she insisted this practice needs to stop for good, pointing out that stars extend courtesy to the media and expect nothing less in return.In Hindi, she said, “Yeh badtameezi se backshot kaun leta hai tumlog me se? Kaun leta hai? Band karo (Who among you is taking these backshots so disrespectfully? Who is doing it? Stop it).”She continued, “Mera nahi karna hai. Kisi ka nahi karna hai. Bol bol kar thak gaye hain. Bag utha kar, book utha kar, backward walking karke. Yeh sab nahi chalega abhi. Band karo yeh sab. Humlog bahut izzat se karte hai aap login se baat. Mat karo (Don’t do it to me. Do not do it to anyone. We are tired of saying this over and over. Picking up bags and books, walking backwards – none of that will work any more. Put a stop to all this. We speak to you all with great respect. Do not do this).”Meanwhile, just days earlier, Sonakshi Sinha was caught on camera looking clearly irritated as she stepped out of a Mumbai eatery alongside husband Zaheer Iqbal and father Shatrughan Sinha. Folding her hands in a polite gesture, she was heard telling the cameras, “Bas, guys. Thank you. Good night!” , a request the photographers didn’t quite honour, continuing to film as she made her way to her car.Even superstar Salman Khan wasn’t spared this kind of friction; he appeared visibly upset with paparazzi during a hospital visit back in May, an incident that later prompted an apology from the media.
