Neil Diamond surprises Hugh Jackman with gift on ‘Song Sung Blue’ hit
Hugh Jackman just received a jaw-dropping, classical gift from Neil Diamond.
In a video shared on Instagram, Jackman unboxed one of Diamond’s prized guitars as a gift. The Deadpool and Wolverine star was clearly stunned in the video.
“One of the most awesome gifts I have ever received. And will cherish forever. Thank you,” Jackman wrote in the caption.
Diamond sent the gift as Jackman plays a Diamond tribute singer in Song Sung Blue, a hit movie currently in theatres.
The film reignited Neil Diamond’s music catalogue, giving him a strong reason to thank Hugh Jackman and everyone involved.
Diamond, whose biggest hits came in the 1970s and 1980s, now has eight songs on the iTunes Top 100.
These include Sweet Caroline, Song Sung Blue, Forever in Blue Jeans, I Am… I Said, and Play Me. Meanwhile, Song Sung Blue has earned $25 million at the box office so far and is showing strong staying power.
