Netflix‘s The Age of Innocence has added new cast members in the form of Fantastic Beasts star Fiona Glascott, Belinda Bromilow, and many more. The streaming giant announced the limited series in April 2025, which will be an adaptation of the novel by Edith Wharton. Emma Frost, known for The White Queen, is set to be the showrunner of Age of Innocence.

Fiona Glascott, Belinda Bromilow and more join Netflix’s Age of Innocence series cast

Fantastic Beasts’ Fiona Glascott has joined the cast of Netflix’s Age of Innocence. Apart from her, Belinda Bromilow and Emma Shipp have also been cast as series regulars. Glascott will play the role of Augusta Welland while Bromilow and Shipp will portray Adeline Archer and Janey Archer, respectively (via The Hollywood Reporter).

The trio is going to work alongside talents like Kristine Froseth, Margo Martindale, Camila Morrone, Ben Radcliffe, Will Tudor, Steven Pacey, and many more. With Emma Frost as the showrunner, the series will explore a complicated love triangle set in the 1920s.

The logline shared by Netflix reads, “The Age of Innocence explores themes of freedom, duty, identity, and love in all its forms. This fresh take is true to Wharton’s novel but will speak to a new generation as we traverse the ballrooms and bedrooms of these young people, asking the question, what is love — and what is lust? And should we ultimately be driven by our heads or by our hearts?”

The Age of Innocence was previously adapted into a film by Martin Scorsese, and it stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Winona Ryder in major roles.

During the announcement of the series, VP of drama at Netflix, Jinny Howe, said, “The impact of these adaptations can be so powerful that it not only captivates new audiences around the world, it also causes a resurgence in popularity for the original source material.”
