A brand-new electronic dance music (EDM) festival is coming to one of Birmingham’s most iconic venues this fall! Held on Friday, September 18, Sloss City Music Festival is an upcoming one-day EDM experience bringing national artists, local DJs, food trucks, vendors and more to Sloss Furnaces National Landmark.

Read on to learn more about the inaugural Sloss City Music Festival + how you can get tickets now before they sell out.

Sloss City Music Festival: What you need to know

Set against the backdrop of one of Birmingham’s most beloved historic landmarks, Sloss City Music Festival is a high-energy community experience that everyone can enjoy, whether you’re a longtime EDM fan or simply looking for something fun to do with friends on a Friday night.

Organized by local event production company Veritas Social, the new festival was born out of a simple idea: create an event that’s accessible to everyone while helping strengthen Birmingham’s growing entertainment community.

“Since the end of Sloss Fest, there has been a noticeable gap in large-scale entertainment and festival culture in our city. We wanted to create something that brings people together, showcases Birmingham on a larger stage and gives residents an experience they would normally have to travel to larger markets to find.

At a time when entertainment is becoming increasingly expensive, our goal is to deliver a high-value experience at an accessible price point. We want Sloss City to be a festival that belongs to the community—one that highlights local talent, attracts national artists, and creates an unforgettable experience for people across Birmingham and the Southeast.

This is about more than just music. It’s about revitalizing a historic venue, supporting the local creative community, and building a festival that Birmingham can be proud of for years to come”

Henry Hardeman, Founder, Sloss City Music Festival

As Birmingham’s entertainment scene continues to evolve, the team behind Veritas Social aims to grow Sloss City Music Festival beyond a one-day event. The team’s vision is to create a new experience that celebrates local culture, introduces audiences to new artists and showcases Birmingham as a destination for live entertainment.

Sloss City Music Festival bringing national headliners + local talent to Birmingham

Leading Sloss City Music Festival’s lineup are seven national EDM acts spanning everything from house music to bass-heavy club sets. Headliners on the mainstage Cast Shed include:
