New Ipswich will celebrate its 275th anniversary Saturday with a parade and Autumnfest at Memorial Park.

The parade steps off from Boynton Middle School at 10 a.m., travels down Turnpike Road and turns right onto Temple Road before ending at Memorial Park. The parade will feature floats from local businesses, a marching band and town vehicles and departments.

Autumnfest runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Memorial Park, featuring a hayride, Touch-a-Truck, vendors, food trucks and children’s carnival games. Special presentations include Kosmic Kelly at noon and an address by the Select Board at 1:30 p.m. A display of essays by local students about what they love about New Ipswich will also be featured.

Live music is scheduled throughout the day, with Jimbo Labelle from 11 a.m. to noon, Andrew Szmauz from noon to 1:30 p.m., Jamie Hughes from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., and Rich Hamilton from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

From 3 to 5 p.m., Emari Traffie will offer family portraits at Barrett House. Appointments are required and can be made by emailing [email protected].

Fireworks will close the celebration at 7:30 p.m. at Mascenic Regional High School. Spectators can view the display from the school’s field hockey and soccer fields. Parking is available at Highbridge Hill Elementary School and Mascenic Regional High School.

The town is still accepting donations to help fund the fireworks. Donations can be made through the town website or by check, payable to New Ipswich, NH, and mailed to the town office.
