With February flying by (how is it already the 20th?), we’re back with ten fresh tracks for your weekly rotation — a mix of rising stars, left-of-centre gems and undeniable earworms. Leading the charge is our Track of the Week, REDD. and best friend ixaras, with “juliet” — a track that’s been living rent-free in our heads since first spin.

We first caught REDD. at The Great Escape in Brighton last year and were completely blown away by their upbeat, magnetic performance — the kind that turns a packed room into a full-body celebration. “Juliet” captures that same energy in recorded form, pairing their vibrant pop instincts with ixaras’ shimmering presence for a track that feels both euphoric and emotionally charged. It’s bright, hook-laden and impossible not to move to — a reminder of why these two artists are both so exciting to watch.

Snail Mail — the project of Lindsey Jordan — has announced her third album Ricochet, due out 27th March, alongside the release of new single “My Maker”. Co-produced with Aron Kobayashi Ritch (Momma), the track floats on mellotron swells and steady acoustic strum as Jordan’s voice soars with renewed clarity. Its single-take hot air balloon video leans into lyrics about heaven, airport bars and mortality — a visual nod to the line “it’s just sky,” which Jordan calls the lyrical jumping-off point for the record. It’s her first album in five years, and we can’t wait to hear more.

Also added to the playlist this week is “Say When” from Brisbane-based ÚMBRIEL; the confessional and theatrical single is the first taste of his upcoming debut album The Signs. Alongside that is “what’s the colour of love?” the fierce new single from acclaimed songwriter, producer and performer trials. The single comes from this freshly announced debut solo full length album Hendle (out May 1st).

On “STAMPEDE”, Genesis Owusu taps into the power of collective resistance, framing community and self-expression as the ultimate acts of rebellion in a world fraying at the edges. Abrasive, echoing synth clangs jolt the senses awake, while an unrelenting drum stomp drives both feet and mind forward. The urgency eventually blooms into a melodic, synth-punk-leaning chorus — a rallying cry carried by Owusu’s strident, formidable vocals. His creativity feels unbounded.

Directed by Isaac Brown and filmed in the streets of Accra, Ghana, the accompanying video mirrors the track’s fervour. Surrounded by an army of rebels mobilising on motorcycles and horseback, Owusu’s message feels larger than one voice — a visual and sonic stampede powered by unity and defiance.

Bristol’s Platoon. lean into angsty romance on “Quarter Mile”, a folk-rock/indie love song carried by warm, chiming guitars and heartfelt urgency.

Whilst on the theme of love songs, for those still swept up in Valentine’s Day feelings, IKE has returned with “LIPS ON LIPS”, an evocative new single that dives headfirst into the intensity and vulnerability of young love. It captures that intoxicating closeness — when wanting to be loved becomes all-consuming and the rest of the world seems to fade away. Balancing raw honesty with lush, memorable melodies, “LIPS ON LIPS” further cements IKE as a compelling new voice on the Australian indie scene.

Proud Filipino and Murrawarri composer, rapper, producer and drummer DOBBY has announced his second album MARSHMALLOW, out 20 June, alongside the release of new single “Good For Nothing”. An aggressive self-interrogation, the track confronts shame, ambition and self-worth, tracing how intergenerational trauma, racism and class judgement take root long before we understand their impact. “We are all our own worst critics,” DOBBY shares, describing the song as a vulnerable excavation of his own conditioning — and a key piece of context for what’s to come.

Also added “Colourfast”, from Chloe Violette, who has released her debut album today. You can read more about the track, and the album in a deep dive which Chloe has written for the AU.

We’ve also added two premieres from earlier in the week – “I’ll kill you if you die before me” from moonsea, and “Mick from the Pub” from This Time Only.
