New Music Friday: June 19, 2026 – The Indy Review

If all of you Knicks fans are done celebrating, perhaps you’ll be up for listening to some new music (though feel free to continue to blast all the Wu-Tang you want)?

Today, we’ve got some great new records for you. First, check out the latest from Canadian power-pop band The Get Alongs. Next, alternative rising star honestav has his latest collection out (read our review of it here). And then, we get to celebrate the return of 80’s alternative heroes Haircut 100, who are back with a new LP (read our review of it here). Finally, new soul artist Kashus Culpepper has a brand new EP out worth hearing.

The incredible Eddie Vedder has shared a new song in collaboration with the non-profit Guitars Over Guns – an issue I certainly am on board with. 2000’s rockers Hoobastank are back with a catchy, punky screed, and indie hero Eels has a dreamy new number for us. Trashcan Sinatras continue to drop ebullient power-pop bops, and Mason Jennings has dropped a lovely folk elegy. O.A.R. have recruited G. Love and Citizen Cope for their latest single, and up-and-coming bluegrass group Water Tower have shared their cover of the Post Malone smash, “Sunflower.”

Back again with great new singles on the playlist are ME., Holly Head, Sweet Gloom, sundayclub, Girl with a Hawk, Delfoi Road, NorthFolk, Brother Bird, Zebrahead, Cinder Wells, Nick Hexum, Onelinedrawing, Charming Arson, Quicksand, Swamp Dogg, Kennyhoopla, Semisonic, Jensen McRae, Belvedere, Johnny Marr, Squirrel Flower and Baby Rose.

And the hand-picked fresh faces joining the list today include fencah & Ivery, Hound, Mark Ciani, Lily Juniper, Preloved, Perennial, Locust, Sera Cahoone, FATHERS, Alisan Porter, Peter Melnick, Harley, Severe Girls, Frostbite Terror, Doghouse Rose, Rocketsuit Rogue, Resa Saffa Park, Kelsey Olivia, Riviera Gaz, BITTER:SWEET and Hamish Tate.

Turn up the volume and press play on our New Music Friday Playlist.
