New Music from JJ, Marco Mengoni, Ben Cristovao and more

Although we’re officially into the Eurovision 2026 season, it will still be some time before we hear any national final and Eurovision songs. Thankfully, the music will always continue and a number of Eurovision artists are still producing new songs for us to enjoy.

Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.

Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.

New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 36 part 1

With so many new songs this week, we’ve split the roundup into two smaller articles. You can find part 2 here.

JJ – “Back To Forgetting”

JJ won’t be forgetting 2025 in a hurry — the year he raised the Eurovision trophy for Austria. The same can’t be said about the off and on relationship he’s trying hard to, yet again, erase from his mind: “But we know this ends to the bar to the bed / And suddenly we’re on and off again like we did it back then / That same old game but in present tense / Wishing we could just go back to forgetting it happened at all.”

Although not quite as prominently, “Back To Forgetting” also features the opera vocals that JJ utilised in his Eurovision-winning entry — listen out in the bridge, where similarly to “Wasted Love” things also take a club-y turn.

Annalisa feat. Marco Mengoni – “Piazza San Marco”

This is a collaboration that many have been dreaming about for a long time. Finally, we can say that Italian superstars Annalisa and Marco Mengoni (Eurovision 2013, 2023) have paired their incredible voices together. The setting for this beautiful duet is Venice’s iconic Piazza San Marco.

Annalisa and Mengoni sing about a complicated love story. There’s attraction but also toxicity in the relationship, and the pair seemingly know sometimes they have to lie to please the other. But in the end, they always find each other amongst the chaos: “Oh my God, what anxiety, though / Piazza San Marco was disgustingly beautiful / When I think of all the girls you held by the hand on a pier / In exactly the same way / But the night ends when they call the police / And your hand is still in mine.”

Ben Cristovao & Adam Mišík – “DIAMANTY”

Eurovision 2021 alumnus Ben Cristovao is shining like “DIAMANTY” (“Diamonds”) in this new single alongside fellow Czech artist Adam Mišík. The song begins slowly with raw emotion behind it, but soon picks up to an energetic pace. Cristovao delivers some of the verses, whilst Mišík sings the chorus: “Diamonds shine on your neck / You changed your face for them / Those golden tears are part of it / Everything you wanted, you got.”

Blue – “One Last Time”

Next year marks the 25th anniversary of British boyband Blue. To celebrate this milestone, they’ll be releasing a new album and heading out on tour in 2026. Upon announcing all of this, they also dropped the brand new single “One Last Time.” A spirited pop song, the foursome regret not being able to help a person close to their heart: “All of these words that I never said / Nothing quite hurts like knowing what I never told you / I wish I could hold you one last time.”

KALUSH & Viktor Pavlik – “Край села”

KALUSH often combines rap with folk whilst performing as part of Kalush Orchestra — Ukraine’s Eurovision 2022 group. However, he has rarely brought it into his solo collaborations… until now. The rapper has teamed up with Viktor Pavlik for “Край села” (“Edge of the village”), a track that mixes tradition and modern. The description of the music video notes the following:

“This is a story where the hero goes ‘to the edge of the village’ to pick up a girl who the whole party knows. Between humour and sincere emotions, true love is born – bright, like the lights of a night disco, and stubborn, like an old Daewoo on the highway.”

Marta Jandová & Štefan Margita – “Stopy”

Slovak singer Štefan Margita is building towards the release of a new album. As part of the creative process, he worked with Marta Jandová on the song “Stopy” (“Footsteps”) — and even decided to sing it alongside the Eurovision 2015 representative for Czechia. It’s a steady ballad that the duo perform with a breathy vocal delivery.

Douwe Bob & MEAU – “Nog Even Blijven”

Eurovision 2016 star Douwe Bob has come together with fellow Dutch singer-songwriter MEAU for a new single. It’s a mid-tempo, percussion-driven pop offering titled “Nog Even Blijven” (“Stay a Little Longer”). Lyrically, the pair are hoping to spend some extra time with a person they love. But they’re also afraid to give this individual an ultimatum about not leading them on: “Can’t you stay a little longer? / Because I feel I need you / And stop whining / Are you staying here or are you going to walk away again? / It’s now or never / So hold me or let me go, but give me something.”

Andrei Ursu – “Ador”

Sophistication is the style of Andrei Ursu’s latest project. Romania’s Eurovision 2022 entrant sings “Ador” (“I Love”) whilst donning a suit and tie to give it a suave aura. The instrumentation is also reminiscent of Argentine music, giving the feeling of two lovers dancing in a impassioned embrace.

Nebulossa – “SUPERSEXY”

Nebulossa are here to remind you that you’re “SUPERSEXY!” Spain’s Eurovision 2023 duo want everyone to know that sexiness isn’t about how you look on the outside, but all about how you feel on the inside — and everyone has a sexy spirit within them. The song has an infectious energy that will quickly give you a mood booster.

Getter Jaani – “Käed sinu suunas”

Getter Jaani rounds off the summer season with “Käed sinu suunas” (“Hands towards you”). The song provides one last breath of sun, sea and sand as we remember all the good times from the past few months. The music video was filmed on Kakumäe beach.

Ana Rucner – Balkanija

Cellist Ana Rucner is bringing us the sound of the Balkans through her new LP, Balkanija. In addition to some fully instrumental tracks, the Eurovision 2016 alumna also sings on a few of the songs — including an English version of “Bijeli anđeo” (“White Angel”) to close off the album.

Michael Rice – “This Love”

“There’s a big lighthouse by the sea back home / Where the waves crash over the old town wall.”

Michael Rice is feeling nostalgic. The British singer uses his latest single to reminisce about the times he spent as a kid in Hartlepool and the love that he still has for his hometown. This message is accompanied by a soaring pop ballad that Rice powers home with his commanding vocals. Writing more about the song online, the Eurovision 2019 participant noted:

“‘This Love’ is a song stitched from salt air and memory — a letter to the boy I was, growing up by the sea in Hartlepool. I wrote it far from home, in a London studio, with the ache of missing my friends, my family, and the lighthouse that watched over my summers on The Headland. It’s a reminder that no matter how far I wander, there’s a part of home that lives quietly in me, always.”

NICO & Dan Cocis – “Dream”

NICO represented Romania at Eurovision 2008 in a duet with Vlad Miriță. Now, she’s teamed up with a new musical partner — Dan Cocis. The pair have released “Dream,” an old-school ballad about having a special someone by your side: “All that I need is to be with you I close my eyes / I’m thinking of us two / Just you and me and the time which is frozen for us / All that you need is to be with me / Open your eyes and I’m all that you see / Just you and me, and nothing else matters but us.”

Vlado Kalember & Srebrna Krila – Ljubav ima dva života

Vlado Kalember was a founding member of Yugoslav-Croatian band Srebrna Krila. However, he later left the group to pursue a solo career, which included going to Eurovision for Yugoslavia in 1984. Meanwhile, the new line-up of Srebrna Krila had their own attempt at the song contest in 1988.

In recent years, Kalember has re-joined the band, and this has now led to the new album Ljubav ima dva života (Love has two lives). There are 12 classic Balkan rock songs on the LP for fans of the reunion to delve into.

Andre – “Hazar Patjar”

Andre represented Armenia at Eurovision in 2006. His latest offering is a ballad titled “Hazar Patjar” (“A thousand reasons”). It all centres around the theme of love, with Andre sharing his heart with a special individual: “I will invent a thousand reasons / I will give you a thousand flowers / So that you may be happy / Even if the world does not want you, you are the only one I have.”

Kállay Saunders, let me you & BERNT – “tears in dubai”

Kállay Saunders hails from Hungary, but his tears are currently hitting the ground in Dubai. Collaborating with music producers let me you and BERNT, the Eurovision 2014 alum delivers a house track with middle eastern influences to along with its name. Saunders sings: “I’ve been watching you try / We were living the dream / Now you’re living a lie / So won’t you come back to me / Swimming in your love again / Suddenly we’re drowning / Tears in Dubai.”

You can also hear Kállay Saunders on another new song this week. He’s recorded a cover of “You Keep Me Hangin On” — originally by the Supremes — alongside Dino MFU and Claydee.

Wolf Kati Band – “Erre táncolj”

Kati Wolf hopes that we’ll “Erre táncolj” (“Dance to this”) new song. If you do, you’ll want to get out your brightly-coloured leg warmers because Hungary’s Eurovision 2011 participant takes us back to the ’80s. The song features synths and electric guitar solos to bring that Flashdance vibe.

In the lyrics, Kati calls on a specific person to tango with her: “Dance to this / Fly away with me / My heart is waiting for this / Dance to this / Right now / We could go wild.”

Which of these new songs is your favourite? Have we missed out on any? Do you have any artists you want to shout out to? Let us know in the comments.
