Meyers will be writing and directing the film herself, so prepare your hearts to be warmed.
The legendary writer and director took to Instagram on February 2 to confirm the news. “Happy to share my new movie with this fantastic cast is in the works,” she wrote in her IG caption, causing general celebration in the comments. Ina Garten, a living embodiment of the Nancy Meyers lifestyle if ever there was one, commented, “Yay!!! So exciting! Happy for you and for all of us!!” Same.

Who will be in the cast?
This is already one stacked cast. Kieran Culkin, Emma Mackey, Owen Wilson, Penelope Cruz, and Jude Law have all been announced as part of the new film. Meyers last directed Law in The Holiday.

What will it be about?
There is no official logline, but Variety reports that the film will be a version of Paris Paramount, a project Meyers was originally making with Netflix. The Netflix movie broke down over budget disputes, per Variety, but that doesn’t seem to be the last of it. In 2023 Meyers described Paris Paramount in an Instagram post as, “The movie is about a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do.”
