Craig Harding’s “Back From the Bottom” debuts July 13 at Quaker Cinema as part of a free recovery-focused event
New Philadelphia will host the world premiere of an original song and music video by local artist Craig Harding, whose latest work reflects his journey from addiction to recovery.
Beneath the Shade will present the premiere of “Back From the Bottom” Monday, July 13, at The Quaker Cinema, 158 W. High Ave., New Philadelphia. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is free, but seating is limited. Reservations are requested by calling 330-316-5287.
Harding wrote “Back From the Bottom” during his recovery from addiction. Organizers said the song shares a message of hope, transformation and faith. The music video will make its public debut during the event. The song is available on major music streaming platforms.
The project was produced by Beneath the Shade in partnership with Genesis Co. and Red Bird Studios. According to organizers, sponsorships and donations will help offset production costs, support Harding’s outreach efforts and fund future music ministry projects.
“This project is more than a song release,” Nick Javas of Beneath the Shade said. “It is a testimony of what can happen when someone’s story of struggle is transformed into a message of hope for others. Craig’s music gives voice to what many people and families in recovery have experienced, and we believe this night will encourage our community in a powerful way.”
Beneath the Shade is a Tuscarawas County nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing for men and women recovering from substance use disorder. The organization offers a Christ-centered, semi-structured living environment designed to help residents rebuild their lives through recovery, meaningful work, faith and community support.
The event is sponsored by Beneath the Shade, with support from Fredericks Insurance, Authentic Church, First Federal Bank and Kaufman Realty agent Kate Overton.
