The former athlete was especially impressed by Swift and Kelce’s unexpected officiant. “When Adam Sandler walked out — it had everybody floored, that was really cool,” Fitzpatrick said. “The ceremony was beautiful.”
Days later, Fitzpatrick and his better half were still on the mend from a night of celebrating: “There was a LOT of dancing, hours and hours, we’re still kind of recovering from being out on that dance floor for six-plus hours.”
He added, “My favorite moment was just I got to spend the night with my wife just on the dance floor, being around and being in it, so that was pretty magical for us.”
PEOPLE reported that Sandler was delighted to have an extra-special role on Swift and Kelce’s big day. The comedian “said yes right away,” a source noted, and Sandler “was incredibly honored to be part of such a special day.”
The source added that Sandler “wasn’t trying to find the perfect words or make it this big production” while officiating the wedding. “He just wanted to speak from the heart and pass along a little wisdom that he’s gained from his own happy marriage.”
As for their vows, Swift and Kelce reportedly spoke for 20 minutes each. Swift sang during her vows, while Kelce was emotional, crying during the ceremony.

Official details surrounding Swift and Kelce’s wedding were shared by a rep on the big day. “The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture,” the rep said. “They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom. This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewelry.”
The newlyweds did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. “Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler,” the statement concluded.
