Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor may have locked horns with Superman and attempted to sabotage his life, but contrary to his character, Hoult is clearly smitten and excited to have worked with David Corenswet.
In conversation with TIME, Hoult expressed his admiration for David, saying, “I’ve learned so much from David Corenswet—as an actor, as a father, and from the time we took a lie-detector test together. He has this rare ability to be completely present with the people around him and to truly understand them.”

The actor also shared his fondest memories on the sets of Superman with Corenswet: “I think my fondest memory of David is of seeing him on set, Superman cape still on, pushing his daughter in a stroller in circles as she slept. In the middle of this massive film and moment for his career, he was just off being a great dad.”
Now, how sweet is that? One moment, he is fighting the bald baddie, and the next, he is being adorned by that same baddie for comforting his toddler.
The iconic Lex and Superman will once again be seen in Man of Tomorrow. However, the film will see them uniting and fighting against a greater evil. While details remain scarce, it’s widely speculated to be Brainiac, following a tease by Gunn on his Instagram. But then again, who knows, as Gunn remained silent when asked about Brainiac’s involvement in the film.
