Actor Priyanka Chopra has revealed that her husband, singer Nick Jonas, keeps up with Bollywood gossip better than she does. Speaking on the Jonas Brothers’ official podcast, Hey Jonas, Priyanka said Nick is usually the one who updates her on celebrity break-ups and other entertainment news.
The 43-year-old said, in a conversation with Nick, Joe Jonas, and Kevin Jonas, that when she asks him to pass along her regards to someone, he sometimes has to tell her that the couple in question has already split up.
The conversation began with Priyanka admitting that the 32-year-old often knows more than she does about what is happening in Bollywood. “It is true though. He knows stuff even I don’t know. I don’t know when someone’s broken up with someone, and you’re always the one to tell me,” she said, referring to Nick’s regular updates on celebrity relationships and gossip.
Kevin then asked if Nick casually shares such updates at home, joking, “Does he come into the room and say, ‘Babe, did you hear what happened?’” Priyanka laughed and said it usually happens when she is messaging someone and asks Nick to pass on her love. She said he then steps in with a correction. Recalling those moments, she said, “And he’s like, ‘No, they’ve broken up.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, thank you.’”
When Kevin asked Nick where he gets all the gossip from, the singer laughed and replied, “I can’t say names. These are friends of ours.” He then admitted that he quietly follows a few Bollywood gossip pages online, though he would not identify them. “There’s a couple of accounts that I kind of ghost-follow. I’m not going to say which ones,” he said. Joe then compared those accounts to celebrity gossip platform DeuxMoi and asked if they were the Bollywood version of it.
Nick agreed with the comparison and said the appeal lay in how quickly the stories changed. “Yeah. There’s some good tea though. There are all these storylines you’ve got to follow,” he said. As the exchange continued, Priyanka jokingly said, “Oh my God, don’t get me into trouble.” Nick then clarified that he was not referring to anyone specifically and said, “No, you’re not getting in trouble. But generally, the culture is just different.”
The podcast episode also touched on the couple’s early connection. Their relationship began with a direct message on social media in 2016, after Nick reached out to Priyanka on X, formerly known as Twitter.
They made their first public appearance together at the 2017 Met Gala, began dating in 2018, got engaged within months and married later that year in ceremonies that blended Hindu and Christian traditions. In January 2022, they welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie.
