Nick Lachey and wife Vanessa Lachey recently bought back their home from Naomi Osaka after selling it five years ago — and they don’t plan on going anywhere again anytime soon.

“That’s always been our dream house,” Nick, 51, shared exclusively with Us Weekly while promoting his partnership with Purina ONE LiveClear. “[We] never really got to spend time there the way we wanted to.”

The couple originally purchased the Los Angeles property in 2020 and called it home for only five months before moving to Hawaii for Vanessa’s role on NCIS. But following the CBS show’s cancellation, they headed back to L.A. and couldn’t stay away from their dream pad for long. The duo paid just under $8 million to purchase the home from Osaka, 27, and they couldn’t be happier to be back. (They originally sold the home for $6.3 million.)

The tennis superstar resided in the home from 2022 to 2025, adding a few upgrades to the property (including a home gym) before listing it back on the market. “It’s a weird scenario,” Nick admitted to Us, noting that it feels “surreal” to be back at the property years later.

The Love Is Blind host shares three children with Vanessa — Camden, 12, Brooklyn, 10, and Phoenix 8 — and said that they’re all just as excited to return to their old stomping grounds.

“We’re thrilled to be back, the kids are thrilled to be back, it’s all meant to be,” he shared, before adding with a laugh, “I already told [Vanessa] I’m never moving again. They’re gonna have to pry my dead body out of that place, I’m not moving!”

Lachey first met his wife, 44, in 2006, and the pair dated for five years before tying the knot in 2011. They welcomed son Camden the following year, daughter Brooklyn in 2015 and son Phoenix in 2016. The twosome has since become one of Hollywood’s ‘It’ couples, costing Netflix’s hit reality dating shows Love is Blind and The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On.

It’s clear the Lachey family has found their happily ever after, and the actor is hoping to help other couples accomplish the same. He’s partnered with Purina ONE LiveClear to aid in rescuing relationships made complicated by cat allergies. With one in five adults facing a cat allergy, the actor wants couples to know that they can live a fulfilling lifestyle with both their beloved felines and a budding romance.

Having been a pet parent himself, he knows how difficult it must be for people to choose between their furry friends or exploring love. He and Vanessa shared Yorkiepoo Wookie for 15 years, and the pooch helped prepare the two to start a family. “[Pets] teach you patience. They teach you understanding — you have to think about another life that’s outside of yourself,” he explained. “It takes away a lot of the selfishness that we have when we’re younger people. For Vanessa and I as a young couple living together, Wookie was amazing.”

With Purina ONE LiveClear, everyone can have the best of both worlds. “This is a groundbreaking, gamechanging product,” Lachey told Us. “It’s hard enough to be in a relationship in this world, the last thing we need to do is complicate it with runny noses and scratchy throats.”

Having hosted The Ultimatum, Lachey can also understand why a pet allergy might be a dealbreaker for some relationships.

“Your pet, your dog or cat, or any companion, is a life companion. Boyfriends, girlfriends can come and go,” he explained. “So I mean, if you’re asking to come into my life, no matter how much they care about you, and you’re mandating that I get rid of my best friend and my companion, that’s just a horrible ultimatum to put out there.”

The reality TV star fully understands how these ultimatums might cause tension in a relationship, but affirms that Purina ONE LiveClear “takes that out of play.” If people can cozy up with their partner on one side and feline companion on the other, he believes using the product is “an absolute no brainer.”
