Nickelback will release its 11th album, Everything Under the Sun, on Oct. 30.
The Hanna, Alta. rockers were coming off the success of their best-selling tour yet, in support of their 2022 album Get Rollin’, while writing this new record.
The first single, Rattle the Cage, was released today and is a teaser for what fans can expect from the new album.
“This album has every side of the band on it,” shared the band’s frontman Chad Kroeger in a press release. “There are songs that hit as hard as anything we’ve ever done, songs that take chances, and songs that remind us why we’ve been doing this together for so long.”

“Rattle The Cage felt like the perfect way to kick the door open — it has the energy we’ve been feeding off every night on stage,” Kroeger continued.
In 2023, the band was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the Juno Awards in Edmonton by Ryan Reynolds and Edmonton Oilers player Connor McDavid. Kroeger opened their acceptance speech with a nod to their hometown: “Twenty-seven years, blood, sweat and tears, started off 300 km southeast of here, in a little town called Hanna.”
Everything Under the Sun also follows the success of the acclaimed documentary Hate to Love: Nickelback, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023.
