Nicole Kidman ‘focusing on two things’ after Keith Urban split – Celebrity News – Entertainment

Nicole Kidman is reportedly focusing on “family and work” following her divorce filing from country music star Keith Urban.

The Oscar-winning actress, 58, has recently split from her husband of 19 years and insiders have said that she is now “surrounded by the two things that matter the most to her – her family and her work.”

Now back in Nashville after a recent European trip, she’s said to be maintaining a positive outlook.

An insider told People magazine, “She isn’t someone who dwells on regrets – she believes everything happens for a reason.”

The news of their separation emerged on September 29, with court documents confirming that Nicole filed for divorce the next day, citing irreconcilable differences.

Nicole’s upcoming screen projects include TV adaptations of Margo’s Got Money Troubles and Scarpetta, a third season of Big Little Lies, and a sequel to the 1988 film Practical Magic, where she will reunite with Sandra Bullock.

She revealed on September 13 through Instagram that production for Practical Magic 2 had officially concluded.

In a conversation with Harper’s Bazaar, released soon after the divorce papers were submitted, Nicole seemed to contemplate the emotional struggles of marital breakdown.

She said, “There’s something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how difficult, or how devastating something is, there is a way through. You are going to have to feel it, and it’s going to feel insurmountable at times.

“You’re going to feel like you’re broken, but if you move gently and slowly – and it can take an enormous amount of time – it does pass.”

Another source familiar with the family revealed to People on October 2 that Nicole had been “stressed because she knew the separation would eventually become public and she was dreading it.”

They continued, “But she’s surprisingly level-headed and calm. Now that it’s out she’s just focused on what’s ahead and her girls.”

A different insider had previously informed People that Nicole “has been fighting to save the marriage,” explaining, “She didn’t want this.”

The source continued that “the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another,” especially her sister Antonia Kidman.
