Nicole Kidman filed for divorce from Keith Urban last month, with a relationship expert now encouraging her to find support among her friend group.
The Babygirl actress, 58, filed for divorce from the 57-year-old country singer on September 30 – just one day after news of their split was made public.
Since the bombshell move, rumors have been circulating that Keith has already moved on with another woman. Amid the speculation, relationship expert Louella Alderson has said it’s important for Nicole to be around people she trusts. The expert also urged the former couple to focus on their children as they navigate their split.
Speaking exclusively to The Express US, Alderson shared, “Rumors like that are always tough, especially when a couple is already going through a public breakup.
“The best thing they can do is stay focused on what they can actually control, like keeping things respectful, protecting their children from the noise and handling the situation privately rather than feeding the speculation.”
Speaking about the pair’s children – Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret – Alderson added, “Custody agreements are always complicated and it’s important to put the children’s needs first.”
She continued, “Their shared children are also old enough to have some say in what they want. Even with a formal custody agreement in place, there’s usually flexibility. If they want to see their dad more often, it’s likely Nicole would be open to that.
“At this stage, it’s probably about finding what feels balanced and supportive for them both as parents and most importantly, for the children.”
Louella Alderson is a relationship expert who spoke to The Express US on behalf of the So Syncd dating app.
