North Texas Performing Arts is relocating its headquarters from the Willow Bend Mall to 2819 W. 15th St., according to a news release from the organization.

The new complex will feature four performance stages, six dance and rehearsal studios, private practice rooms, a set-build shop and additional spaces “supporting NTPA’s theatre, education and community programs,” the release states.
The space used to house Holiday Warehouse, which closed last March.
“This is an exciting and transformational moment for North Texas Performing Arts,” NTPA CEO Darrell Rodenbaugh said in the release. “We have a vision that everyone should have the profound opportunity of taking the stage, and so it is critical that we preserve our mission.”
Construction on the new site is expected to begin next month, with theater build-out anticipated by Dec. 1 and new performances hitting the stage in January.
The context
NTPA was informed that it would have to leave its current space in the Shops at Willow Bend in February. Plans to move the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars into the mall were made official in June, when Plano City Council approved a non-binding letter of intent.
Along with the announcement, NTPA has launched its “Save Our Stages” campaign, with a goal of securing $2.5 million to help fund the transition. More information can be found on the organization’s website.
