Ohio State Fair announces additional concerts

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State Fair is bringing more acts to the stage. 

It announced two additional paid concerts on Tuesday, as well as free, non-ticketed shows. 


What You Need To Know

  • On July 31, the S.O.S. Band and the Dazz Band will co-headline a concert
  • Then, on Aug. 2, Grammy-nominated country music artist Sammy Kershaw will take the stage
  • Then, classic rock fans can enjoy a free concert on Aug. 4 with Journey from The Heart

On July 31, the S.O.S. Band and the Dazz Band will co-headline a concert.

The S.O.S. Band is a funk and R&B group behind platinum hits like “Take Your Time (Do It Right)” and “Just Be Good To Me.”

The Dazz Band is the first group from Cleveland, Ohio, to win a Grammy for their 1982 smash hit “Let It Whip.”

Then, on Aug. 2, Grammy-nominated country music artist Sammy Kershaw will take the stage. Kershaw is known for hits including “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful” and “Queen of My Doublewide Trailer.”

Then, classic rock fans can enjoy a free concert on Aug. 4 with Journey from the Heart, which is a tribute show with music both from Journey and Heart. The show will be led by Ryan Christopher and Shareen Ann. 

Additional free shows and events in the WCOL Celeste Center include the fan-favorite annual concert performed by the talented All-Ohio State Fair Band & Youth Choir on Aug. 2, as well as the annual Sale of Champions Livestock Auction on the final day of the Fair, Aug. 9.

Tickets for the shows announced Tuesday will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. Concert tickets include fair admission.

Saturday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m.

All-Ohio State Fair Band & Youth Choir
Sunday, Aug. 2, at 1 p.m.
