The royal family of Ojomu, Ajiran, has affirmed its full cooperation with law enforcement to apprehend the killers of two princes, Sherrif Isola Salami, murdered on April 18, 2023, and Ademola Akinloye, killed on August 26, 2024.
A statement signed by the monarch, Oba Tijani Adetunji Akinloye, and the Balogun of the land, Alhaji Yekini Olawale Bakare, stressed that those responsible would not move freely and that justice would be served.
Oba Akinloye explained that police involvement was crucial, particularly in light of reports that unscrupulous individuals were illicitly selling the family’s land in the community.
He noted that the perpetrators had no legitimate rights or title, warning that anyone attempting to purchase such land would do so at their own risk.
“Let it be noted that the royal family is very much involved in the investigation regarding the murders of Prince Sherrif Isola Salami on April 18, 2023, and Prince Ademola Akinloye on August 26, 2024.
“The two murders were carried out in broad daylight within the Ojomu Community. This investigation is to ensure that murderers do not roam freely in our kingdom and that the subjects of our kingdom can live their lives without fear.
“The royal family also requires this investigation to give closure to the family and justice for the victims of the above mentioned atrocities.
“The family is currently investigating all atrocious sales of family land by one Hamed. Let it be clear that all transactions relating to the Ojomu royal family’s land are done on special papers with security features. Consequently, the general public is warned that people forging the family’s title deeds and the principal member’s signature will eventually be caught and brought before the law,” it said.
