“As for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, I mean, the internet feeds itself,” Wilde explained during a September 2022 press conference to promote Don’t Worry Darling. “I don’t feel the need to contribute. I think it’s sufficiently well-nourished.”
For her part, Pugh has firmly moved on from the experience, telling Vanity Fair in 2023 that she would not get into the “nitty-gritty details” on set.
After wrapping the film, Wilde took some time to reset and be with her kids Otis, 12, and Daisy, 9, whom she shares with ex Jason Sudeikis. And that break has allowed her to come back to work stronger than ever.
“If you can push through the moment you have previously identified as the worst possible thing that could happen to you, whether that is divorce or the internet hating you or whatever,” she continued to The Cut, “you are forged into something way better than you could have possibly imagined.”
