The curtains may have closed on the Cannes Film Festival, but the fashion conversation is far from over. As always, the world’s most glamorous film event served as a showcase for breathtaking couture, celebrity style, and unforgettable red carpet moments. During the festival’s final days, stars embraced everything from timeless elegance to daring experimentation, proving once again why Cannes remains one of fashion’s most important stages.

Eva Longoria embodied classic movie-star glamour with two standout appearances that perfectly suited her role as a longtime beauty ambassador. First, she arrived in a sculpted white satin gown by Tamara Ralph, featuring a dramatic neckline and elegant silhouette that captured the spirit of old Hollywood. Later, she changed into a sparkling Elie Saab creation covered in crystals, delivering the kind of sophisticated glamour that has become her signature.

Bella Hadid also made a powerful return to the Croisette, drawing inspiration from fashion history with a white Schiaparelli gown designed by Daniel Roseberry. The look paid homage to one of Jane Birkin’s iconic ensembles from 1969 while updating the aesthetic with a sharper, more modern edge. Gillian Anderson brought drama in a different way, choosing a sleek black gown accented by a sculptural metallic detail that swept across the bodice like liquid silver. Meanwhile, Stella Maxwell injected a sense of playfulness into the proceedings, pairing pastel pink hair with an archival Gucci gown that blended rebellious energy with vintage sophistication. These appearances highlighted the festival’s ability to celebrate both tradition and innovation, allowing celebrities to express their individuality while embracing the grandeur associated with Cannes.

The closing stretch of the festival also showcased a variety of fashion risks, some more successful than others. Zoe Saldaña stood out with one of the freshest looks of the event, wearing a Chanel Resort design featuring an oversized floral motif that added softness and personality to her typically understated red carpet style. Marion Cotillard delivered visual impact in a striking knitted mermaid gown while promoting her latest film, although the dramatic design proved somewhat impractical as she navigated the famous Palais des Festivals staircase.

Adèle Exarchopoulos embraced contrast through two dramatically different looks, first appearing in a bold burgundy lace creation before switching to a more experimental ensemble that divided fashion commentators. Léa Seydoux similarly demonstrated impressive versatility while promoting multiple films, moving from glamorous ruffles and sparkling jewelry to a sharply tailored three-piece suit that showcased a completely different side of her style. Together, these appearances reflected the creative freedom that makes Cannes unique among international film festivals.

Unlike many awards ceremonies that favor safer fashion choices, Cannes encourages bold statements, artistic experimentation, and memorable risks. The result is a red carpet that consistently generates conversation long after the festival ends. From archival references and couture craftsmanship to unexpected beauty choices and daring silhouettes, the final days of Cannes 2026 offered a reminder that fashion remains one of the event’s greatest attractions.
