Even though it came out back in April, Sinners remains one of the most talked-about films of 2025. Now that spooky season is closing in, many might want to revisit the film.
One of the reasons the movie got so much love is that it was shot on IMAX film cameras. Lucky cinephiles who live in big cities were even able to see the movie projected on 70mm.
Well, if you never got a chance to see it on film, and are regretting it, you might have another chance. Some fans noticed online that there’s a tease of the film being re-released on 70mm on Halloween day.
Now, this isn’t confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt, but it would make a lot of sense to put one of the biggest horror movies of the year back in theaters for Halloween. This is the time of year when people want to be seeing horror films in theaters.

Sinners isn’t the scariest movie of the year. It turns into more of an action movie toward the end than a true horror film. That said, it still has a lot of great spooky elements and would be a very fun film to watch on Halloween.
