The Salem Stampede Championship Rodeo is back in town at the Salem Civic Center.

Hockey fans, rejoice, two straight nights of Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs’ action on the ice is heading your way.
Catch the Dawgs taking on the Macon Mayhem Friday and Saturday nights, starting at 7:05 PM at the Berglund Center.

If you’re into Americana/Indie-folk rock, you might want to ride down to Rocky Mount and check out The Last Revel Saturday night at The Harvester Performance Center.

Now on to something for the history buff, you can travel through time from the American Revolution through the Civil War.
Adapted from his podcast, Professor Greg Jackson is bringing his “History that Doesn’t Suck Tour” to the Historic Academy Theatre in Lynchburg Saturday night.
“So whether we’ve been in blue or red states, everyone, liberals and conservatives alike in the same audience have walked out with a renewed appreciation for the importance of understanding that we are all Americans .We are all in the same boat together,” says Jackson.
The multi-media event is happening Saturday night, January 10 at 7:30.

On colder days, you can enjoy free general admission into the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke.
But small fees do apply for special ticketed exhibitions.
