Two big names will fill the grandstand over Labor Day weekend at the 179th Canfield Fair.
Mahoning County’s annual celebration of all things agricultural will run Aug. 27 to Sept. 1 will be at the Canfield Fairgrounds.
Brad Paisley will hit the stage at 7 p.m. Aug. 31 in the grandstand. Tickets range from $53 to $264 for the show.
Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform at 7 p.m. Sept. 1, also in the grandstand. Tickets range from $65.50 to $120.
Separate tickets are needed for all events in the grandstand, including the Demolition Derby and Truck and Tractor Pull. They are available on the fair’s website now, or at the gate during the event.
The World’s Largest Demolition Derby is set at 8 p.m. Aug. 29 in the grandstand, while the Championship Truck and Tractor Pull will start at 8 p.m. Aug. 30 in the same location.
Tickets for the Demolition Derby are $22.40, while Truck and Tractor Pull tickets are $22.45 or $24.50.
Tickets for the fair vary by day. Senior citizens days, for those ages 62 and older, are Aug. 27 and Aug. 29. Youth Day is Aug. 28.
On Aug. 30-31, tickets are $10 for those ages 62 and older; and $5 for youths ages 7 to 12. On Sept. 1, tickets are $8 for ages 62 and older; and $5 for ages 7 to 12. Those ages 6 and younger enter free every day. Three-day passes are $23, and six-day passes are $45.
Admission tickets and ride wristbands are available now only only.
Gates open at 8 a.m. each day, and rides open at 11 a.m. Vendors and rides will close between 10 and 11 p.m. each night.
The full fair schedule is available on the website, but here are some key events each day, other than the various animal shows and judging:
Aug. 27: Cheerleading demonstration, 11 a.m.
Aug. 28: Opening ceremony, 10 a.m.; High School Band Show, 11 a.m.; and Junior Fair awards and recognition ceremony, 2 p.m.
Aug. 29: Jim Popp country music, 2 to 4 p.m.; Davis and Hemer, 5 to 7 p.m.
Aug. 30: Justified, 1 to 3 p.m.; and Echo Valley, 4 to 6 p.m.
Aug. 31: Rachel Joy, 11 to 1 p.m.; Canfield Band, 2 to 3 p.m.; and Lee Ann Binder, 4 to 7 p.m.
Sept. 1: JD Eicher, 1 to 3:30 p.m.
The 2025 Mahoning County Agricultural Society Hall of Fame event is planned for 11 a.m. Aug. 27 on the Concourse Stage.
