Actor Mike Heslin, whose acting credits included the Paramount+ series “Lioness” and the Lifetime movie “The Holiday Proposal Plan,” died at age 30 in June 2024. Now, his widower, Scotty Dynamo, has filed a wrongful death suit against the restaurant where his medical emergency began.
On June 25, 2024, Heslin was dining at Javier’s restaurant at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas when he suddenly collapsed. The lawsuit alleges, per KLAS, that multiple ARIA and Javier’s employees “stood by” and failed to begin an emergency response as Heslin’s friends called for help.
After a woman began CPR on Heslin, an employee “forcefully interfered” and removed the woman from the scene, the lawsuit claims.
Dynamo’s complaint accuses the Vegas eatery of putting “their own interests ahead of” Heslin’s. Employees demanded that Heslin’s friends delete video of the incident, threatened to have them arrested for trespassing, and removed them from the premises, the lawsuit alleges. Heslin died a week after he collapsed at the restaurant.
Dynamo is suing on five counts of wrongful death, loss of consortium, negligence, gross negligence, and negligent hiring, retention, training and supervision, per Us Weekly. He is seeking $15,000 in damages.

Dynamo announced Heslin’s death via Instagram in July 2024.

“On July 2nd, my husband, best friend, and soulmate @mikeheslin passed away from an unexpected cardiac event after a week long battle in the hospital. Michael was young, in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened,” Dynamo wrote. “Michael, meeting you was the best thing to ever happen to me. You are my world. You are everything to me. When I felt you take your last breath, my heart shattered into a million pieces. If I had the power to trade places with you, I would do it in an instant. But I will take it one day at a time like you always told me to, and live every day in your honor.”
Dynamo also noted that he and Heslin were “four months shy” of celebrating their “1 year wedding anniversary” when Heslin died.
