The Punk Poet Laureate is returning to her roots.

Starting Nov. 10, Patti Smith will launch the U.S. leg of her ‘Horses 50th Anniversary Tour’ celebrating her legendary 1975 debut album “Horses.”

Near the end of the brief, international run, the 78-year-old New York City icon — she’s actually from Jersey but was an instrumental member of NYC’s ’70s punk and avant rock movement — will make a pair of stops at the Upper West Side’s regal Beacon Theatre on Friday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 22.

If you’d like to see her live, tickets are available for all 13 North American and U.K. concerts.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any one U.S. show of Smith’s was $57 including fees on Vivid Seats.

Other gigs in the States have seats starting anywhere from $62 to $400 including fees.

As for what to expect at the shows, Smith is slated to perform the eight-track “Horses,” which features seminal songs “Gloria,” “Redondo Beach,” “Free Money,” “Kimberly” and “Birdland” in full for the first time since 2005 according to press releases.

She’ll be joined by her bandmates guitarist Lenny Kaye and drummer Jay Dee Daugherty, who lent their talents to the record. Smith describes their longtime collaboration as a “three-chord rock merged with the power of the word.”

And, yes, they’re already rehearsing.

“[I’m] practicing with the fellows for Horses 50th in the place we recorded it,” the 2007 Rock Hall of Fame inductee shared via Instagram. Thank you Lee Foster [and] Electric Lady Studios. A privilege to be here.”

No word yet on whether or not she’ll take “Because The Night,” “Dancing Barefoot,” “People Have The Power,” “Frederick” or her blistering 2011 cover of “Smells Like Teen Spirt” to the stage. All we know is the best way to find out is live.

Patti Smith band

Kaye and Daugherty aren’t the only band members backing Smith on the road this November.

Guitarist Jackson Smith as well as keyboardist and bass player Tony Shanahan — who has been performing live with Smith’s band since 1996 — will also board the tour buses with her.

After digging in the archives, we found the last time Smith performed “Horses” live in full was at the 2005 Meltdown Festival in London when she celebrated the record’s 30th anniversary.

Classic rockers on tour in 2025

Although no act is quite like Smith — she’s punk, she’s poetry, she’s rock and roll, she’s ferocious, she’s avant-garde, she’s a million things — here are five artists with somewhat similar sensibilities on the road this year.

• Heart (with Lucinda Williams on select dates)

• Stevie Nicks

• DEVO with The B-52s

• Elvis Costello

• Robert Plant

Who else is out and about? Take a look at our list of all the biggest classic rockers on tour in 2025 to find the show for you.
