WHEELING, W.V. – The Reading Royals blanked the first-place Wheeling Nailers, 1-0, on Wednesday morning in West Virginia.
Connor Kurth broke the scoreless deadlock midway through the 3rd period with his 10th goal of the season.
Yaniv Perets made 16 saves in the shutout with Reading’s defense limiting the Nailers opportunities as a whole.
The Royals will be home Saturday and Sunday against Worcester.
