Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt have decided to go their separate ways, five months after welcoming a daughter, PEOPLE reports.
A source confirmed the split to the outlet, explaining that Davidson and Hewitt are “working on things” and “want one another to succeed and be happy.”
“There have been points where they’ve split and have gotten back together,” the source told PEOPLE, but added that it’s unclear if they’ll reconcile again.
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to reps for Davidson and Hewitt for comment.
PEOPLE had reported earlier this month, citing a source, that the two were “trying to figure things out together. They’re adjusting to parenthood and working through the process.” Davidson and Hewitt both saw their daughter as the priority.

The Saturday Night Live alum and Hewitt, a model and actress, went public with their relationship in March 2025.
Hewitt announced in July that she was pregnant. In December, the pair welcomed Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson.

“My best work yet,” Elsie captioned a photo of the family. “I am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief.”
Davidson added simply, “Wu tang forever.”
He has otherwise been vocal about his love for being a dad.
“I’m very lucky and very, very happy,” he told E! News just after the celebratory news was announced.
“Seeing Pete do this has been the most special thing,” Hewitt said before the birth in July. “I’m re-falling in love all over again. And I think we make a really good team.”
In March, Davidson noted, “Dad life is f—ing awesome,” in an interview with PEOPLE. “It is exhausting and rewarding and cute. And I’m very lucky because Elsie is a fantastic mom, and I can’t stress enough how lucky I am.”
The comedian debuted a new tattoo in honor of Scottie last month at CinemaCon 2026 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas despite having endured a lengthy and expensive tattoo removal process over the past few years to clear his skin of an estimated 200 tattoos.
Davidson’s past loves have included Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Kaia Gerber, and Margaret Qualley.
The comedian recently made headlines after he was featured in the roast of Kevin Hart that aired May 10 on Netflix.
