Cocoa, an Australian shepherd, golden retriever mix, has become an internet sensation as she joins reggae stick band Stick Figure on their tour.
“Veg in the ‘Burg’… feelin’ irie” takes place in Petersburg on Aug. 23. The community is invited to the free, family-friendly event.
The event will be held at Appomattox Iron Works located at 30 W. Old St. Hosted by Your Partners In Wellness Inc., “Veg in the ‘Burg… feelin’ irie” will be held from 4-9:30 p.m. There will be reggae music, vegan food vendors, comedians, live bands, raffles, a silent auction, open mic for local talent, beverages and more.
Entertainment will include U&I Plus Latin Band, comedian Mu Cuzzo, DJ Mockingbird, comedian Wendy Lee “Quietstorm,” and more.
Admission is free, however, the non-profit organization suggests a $10 donation at the gate. A free shuttle service will be offered, courtesy of Ronnie’s Automotive, from the public parking lot across from Croaker’s Spot restaurant and also behind Maria’s Old Town 21 restaurant.
