GREENSBORO, NC. – The Greensboro Gargoyles took on the Reading Royals in back-to-back games Saturday and Sunday at First Horizon Coliseum. The Greensboro Gargoyles wore Harry Potter-inspired jerseys for their Wizard-themed weekend.
On Saturday, the two teams battled it out in a tight game. Ultimately, the Reading Royals won 2 – 1 after Liam Devine scored in the 3rd. Sunday’s match was full of action, with Gargoyles Artyom Borshyov dropping his gloves with Royals Austin Saint, Royals Miles Gendron, and Gargoyles Bryce Montgomery roughing, and a bit of tension on the ice after the conclusion of the game. The Greensboro Gargoyles closed out the weekend with a 6 – 2 win after scoring 5 times in the second period. Those scorers consisted of Patrick Newell, Blake Biondi, Anthony Rinaldi, Ryan Richardson, and David Gagnon.
