The Palace said the couple are “very pleased” and that the King has already been informed and is “delighted” with the news. The new royal baby is due to arrive “in the summer”.
Eugenie’s sons, Ernest and August, are said to be “very excited” for the new addition.
In a photograph shared by Eugenie, 36, Ernest, wearing a Chelsea football kit, and August, wearing a long-sleeved grey T-shirt, can be seen holding a picture of a baby scan.
Following the Palace’s announcement, Eugenie took to her own Instagram account to share the same photo of her sons, with the caption: “Baby Brooksbank due 2026! [heart and baby face emojis]”
